Growing up surrounded by nature has shaped the way I see, think, and make. My practice is rooted in an interest in how environments are experienced and how colour, form, and material can hold memory, sensation, and place.
I work intuitively with materials, particularly cloth, using cutting, layering, covering, and rebuilding to create shifting compositions. Cloth, with its softness, familiarity, and associations with everyday life, becomes a surface that can be transformed through texture and structure. In contrast, heavier materials such as tile adhesive introduce a sense of weight, permanence, and construction.
I am interested in the tension between softness and structure, construction and erosion. The resulting works sit between image and object, using fragments, textures, and abstract forms to suggest landscapes, geological sections, or fragmented memories. Seams, cracks, edges, and imperfections remain visible as traces of the physical process of making.
